Well yesterday although tough following a poor Saturady with very trappy racing gave us a little bit back in the pot with Xila fontenailles placing 3rd at 40/1 sp and early on betfair was 11.5 for the place only so have a look at the betfair place odds as that's where i made a better profit yesterday.There were 2 other placers but no winners .
Today looks just as poor and i can only see one bet so down to business.

Well yesterday although giving blanket coverage in only two races there was a small profit with 2 x 9/2 winners Yardbird and Nadover that one was available at 6/1 early so have a look at the early prices today because that's where we are heading again.

A miserable wet monday to look forward too!

Well the weekend was busy and slightly dissapointing saturday saw the gambled on Canada street return at an 11/4 sp while the early prices were 9/1 at Corals which i took i hope you took an early price on that one and the lay bet lost/won but sunday saw the lay bet Benetwood win/lose by a neck and the bets no good so not really that good but it looked mighty hard through the weekend and today is certainly no better if anything it's worse my opinion only.

Well yesterday was pretty good even allowing for the wether conditions 4 selections 2 winners at 11/4 each with Herecomestanley and Officier de reserve and although the place only bets showed a minor loss with the betfair odds extremely tight for the winners if you had backed them each way with the bookies you would obviously have made a profit so these bets will be down to personal choice and odds being sufficient in whatever choice you make betfair or the bookies.
Today does look poor even for a monday which is usually very poor anyway but after a big meeting things do tend to come crashing back down to earth in a big way so let's not be to despondent and get down to the bets.

Well i am nearly stuck for words today this is not just poor it is the proverbial rubbish! The field sizes the quality of donkey/horses that are out today are very ,very poor.

Lay bets 2 lost/won great the dodgy favourites obliged great there was a 9/1 placed horse in Greenbridge and Openditch won at skinny odds so not all bad.
The small fields and poor level of form of any of the trainers with runners today just goes somewhere near saying look lads why don't you just go out and have a play around the racetrack we have nothing else to do for a while so go on have some fun!

Well Abstinence should be the name of the day today!

Well today sees a lot of small fields maybe the ground? very poor racing, very trappy and hotpots in big fields at the main meeting i think a wealth warning needs to be mentioned today .
The only thing that can be taken from todays cards is that in my opinion it will see a few of the favourites turned over.
I have seen what i believe to be at least 4 or 5 chances to take the favourites on i will list them all but the main bet will be separate.

Well yesterday 2 lay bets got beat so were winners the favourite bet Calusa caldera won and Alrafid 2nd at 10/1 but the others not seen or sighted.
The one thing i am now doing is keeping a winners in waiting list staked to the fibionacci staking plan to 5 runs if they have not placed at all ,there have been 2 winners popping up that i know i have put up Piccolo diamente won this week at 14/1 and Silver hotspur at 16/1 yes i missed both of them i saw both of them and didn't do them confidence maybe or lack of record keeping i'll put them up and you can have a go if you fancy them but big prices are there so fingers crossed with an increasing stake on these horses we may be able to bag a big pot somewhere down the line who knows.

Well yesterday we fared slightly better 2 winning lay bets 2 losers but the damage done with the losers should have been offset by the 2 winning bets winning at 6/1 early and 4/1 so all in all not too bad .
Today things are cutting up with regards to taking on the favourites in some of the dodgy looking races on the all weather so only 1 lay bet today and 4 bets.
One question beggars belief though with all the form pointers to Capricorn run why is the horse dodging a listed race in favour of a grade 3 handicap the question may be answered later is he a good thing for the handicap and Fidelia looking to oppose a bunch of over exposed poor horses with regards to the lateral form another good thing, have a look yourself both races look to have a level of oddness to them.!!?

Another dreary monday morning.

Well yesterday saw Katchit win at evens and 3 placed horses so not all bad but the biggies seem to be eluding us at present. i would like to take this chance to reply to withman who posted comments last wednesday which i did reply to yesterday which i apologise for the late response but would like to deal with that response as i don't know if he read the post which i put up.
Yesterday in the response i stated that my criteria for laying was very much to the fore in the winter months and my aim is to try and work my way through the year and give as best as i can a spectrum of bets and advices both laying and backing yes i know the bets have not set the world on fire but there have been the odd biggie pop up and my aim will and always has been to make every effort to create a blog which encompasses as many opportunities to profit as i can, when i believe the time is right to lay i will make and take this as my first priority.
It has been frustrating for me and only over the last few days have things started to change back for us so yes there will hopefully be more lay bets and i will and am constantly trying to improve my selection criteria re the backing so for withman and all please go to the postings and have a read as Kauto star was put up as questionable and 2 lay bets were successful in couer d'alene and the Nicholls horse in the last Mutual respect as lay advices.

Well yesterday damned good i thought 2 lays successful, a 20/1 winner hessian a 5/1 winner Kalasam,making music a 6/1 winner hart of gold 2nd 9/1 Teodora adivinia 5/6 for the favourites enough said.
Today although featuring quality racing at Doncaster has big fields and dubious levels of strength in depth and the other meetings ,who likes Uttoxeter for racing only it's a bloody hard course to predict winners at the place itself i'm sure is very nice but as for racing ??
Today i've had a look at how to increase the blog but no joy so until i find out it will probably come in many parts hoh hum.

Another dreary monday morning.

Well today again probably be 2 blogs until i work out how to change the page size of the blog i am not a computer wiz like clive k and i will have a look at some time or another but until then it will probably come in 2 parts ho hum.
The weekend was a dissapointment on the laying front with a couple of shorter priced horses winning rather than losing but i have cut out the shorties from my criteria to lay they keep biting me on the ass.
Yesterday as i try to have a break from the blog and it being the first week with the experimental bets i thought just to leave them alone but low and behold 6 selections and 1 winner at 20/1 Mister arjay.So i will put them up sundays and see how they fare.
The 48 bets well yes there were far too many but did have at least 5 winners with Alfresco topping the pile at 16/1 and Red clubs 9/1 also if you have a closer look there were alot of placed horses beaten by very tight margins .
I have gone back and will be refining these horses down but today there are 13 selections all should be good each way prices so we'll carry on with them and see how they go.
Today very trappy poor quality fields big forecast prices for the favourites so there are only 2 lay selections today to keep us away from the conundrum of todays racing.

A busy day today

Well sorry i'm running a little late today but there is so much racing i have had a lot to figure out.
The blog yesterday was a mess and wasn't laid out like that but the space restrictions put on me by the size of the blog was the problem so today there will be 2 blogs so watch out for the second one as it contains the experimental bets of which there are 48 selections .Yesterday i was very happy 5 lays all successful a couple of the favourites obliged ,Beaver patrol 9/2 and Dematraf 9/1 obliged but the size restrictions stopped 2 more winners being posted in Errigal lad won at 7/1 and Rawdon at 4/1 although in that race there were 3 selections a profit was still there so i will crack on and get as much on this blog and the rest will follow .

Well in my book yesterday was very good 3 lay bets successful a 25/1 winner for the experimental bets and a 5/2 shot early doors remember grab a biggie early or use stop at a winner on your slips that's the way to go and get out for the day.
The gambled on Pretty miss beaten a head by the odds on favourite damn but still a return so i was very happy how about you i know there are only two dozen people that visit my site on average every day but maybe a couple more biggies and the 200 + that first had a peek when the site was recommended by clive k may start to come back who knows as long as we're having a bit of success let's enjoy the moment.

Well yesterday the lay bets showed a minmal loss with 1 winner and 1 loser at short odds,the each way bets a 2nd at 9/1 the favourites chance won at 6/4 the experimental bets a 13/2 early and a 12/1 short head 2nd in Salient so a mixed bag but the stop at a winner as mentioned yesterday would have bagged a profit so not all bad.
