Well yesterday again a little unlucky with the lays 1 won 1 lost the favourite bet won 2 close calls with Millfield beaten a neck and Fromsong the little sweetie beaten a neck and a neck at 20/1 sp so a mixed bag but not too much profit or damage so not too bad even Clive keeling gets beat by these margins and if only springs to mind but well it didn't happen this time.

Not such a good day!

Well yesterday only 1 placed horse the others no good the lay bets it seems are looking slightly dubious at present.
I was looking to include some of the more obvious shorties to take on but sods law they won their races short prices but no consolation so i'll have to try and again be more selective and hope i don't get bitten on the bum as i did the other day and reduce the selections and hope for a bit of luck!

A busy day today

Well yesterday was a bitterly dissapointing day the 2 lay bets quite large hits on the account and forecast at much lower prices in the press so all in all it was a bad day for the lay advices.
Anyone who is reading the current newsletter from clive k Whatreallywinsmoney could have possibly read the section on the 7 golden rules system being the next killer lay system well Sophies girl was the selection for that system to back and subsequently knocked the wind out of me and won as a 7 golden rules bet and became the biggest subsequent winner for that system in the last 60 days so be aware that was probably why the caveat from clive to hang fire and wait on turning the 7 golden rules around ,yes it came and bit me on the butt big time!
I know more than anybody how hard this game can be and reasons for winning or losing a lot of the time make absolutely no sense wahtsoever but do we give up no we keep going so to put a little bit of a good news slant at least the 4/1 winner in the first race yesterday won for us .

Who wants to join the Frankie dettori fan club?

Well he pops up again to haunt me at kempton yesterday 5 lays doing the business and five losing 3 down to my dear old friend Frankie dettori.
I love the Bank holidays for the obvious reason of not being at work but it does seem to throw a spanner in the works on a bank holiday and i think as with my withdrawal from laying on a Sunday that i shall have to make a diary note to leave the Bank holidays alone.
The prices of the winners that were around also high 40/1 shots etc etc but hopefully as with the losses from yesterday they were minmimised by the short prices in many of the horses that won their respective races and we live to fight another day.
Today looks poo the sun/mirror don't seem to know how to price up many of the races and when you see both papers seemedly running in tandem with their pricing of races andthen just giving a blanket qoute of certain prices in others it does leave a little bit of doubt in my mind so watch the biggies come in!??

Well yesterday saw the runners for the lay bets that had a run 2 successful and the other a short priced winner of it's race. I must say i was dissapointed with the Nutkin win there were quite a few non runners in the race and i always question this, why because the ground was declared as it was heavy so how does it work out that these horses didn't take part especially when they were at the head of the market?stinks to me but there you go thats racing.
The each way bets 2 placers the others not so good,the favourites saw Aiden o'briens 30% strike rate kept intact funny that one again!?

Another feast of racing today.

Well yesterday not to brilliant but some lay wins /losses 3 out of 5 with the lay bets winning and 2 favourites obliging so hopefully a small return or minimal losses so not to bad Yesterday saw the Aiden o'brien hotpots turned over as i predicted bar Septimus and i must admit that the each way selction with the bang in form stable/top jockey combo was a return for us but the stinkers had a 12/1 winner 3 races before i hope someone may have had a closer look than i managed at Brighton and spotted them half right but no cigar.
A busy day lies ahead today and i would rather be looking for something similar today with Aiden o briens horses but the winner i think will be1 of his debutantes rather than an odds on winner in Peeping fawn only because i don't like betting odds on in group races rather than the fact it won't win so don't let me put anyone off from backing Peeping fawn it's obviously a good horse!

Well yesterday the weather worked for us on the bets front 2 losers but the lay bets that run were all successful 4 bets so i think that was a good day and you should have made a profit on the day and that's the plan.
York today and what looked to be quite good for at Least the Aiden o'brien camp with further inspection of the Racing post and Oddschecker i would be looking to lay all of his favourites bar Septimus at a push! obviously he knows that Septimus will stay and reading the race comments he does look to have an above average chance.
The way he was described as running at Epsom against Scorpion beggars belief to a horse that would be a stayer but who am i to question the Great one that is Aiden o'brien for running him, and the jockey it was a big prize so why not have a go!
You may well see a different horse entirely in this race?

A busy day today

Well first of all apologies re the Saturady blog i posted it very late due in part to the medication i take for my arthritis in my back giving me the proverbial muck for brains it saved you money on the bets side but 3 winning/losing lay bets were missed for which i apologise unreservedly(a lesson learned leave the medication until after the blog has been done).
Although the weekend was not a total loss as a winner at 3/1 on sunday Record breaker and the only surviving one of 3 lay bets obliging so some money would have been made so not the end of the world.
I spent the rest of the weekend doing a lot of resarch on the last 2 weeks racing and in part starting the decorating yippee! i hear you say well that's what i said when the wife started up but i digress!.
Within my studies it highlighted quite a few more opportunities for us to lay and daily the top bets will be account bets and i shall put my other speculative suggestions up and their may be a few so have a look and if you fancy them have a go.

Some of the teams over the weekend in the premiership in my opinion only were a blooming disgrace, to say the very least if you were reading clive k's e mail re Sunderland and Spurs at 1st glance you could only but agree with him 100% but wow the reality was far from good for Spurs fans i genuinely feel for them but why oh why did they as many other teams give such abject performances .
Incidentally i support Liverpool and well What an investment Torres looks early days i know but first appearances this boy has got a job on his hands to convince me it was money well spent!
Apologies for the rant but just had to get that of my chest hope their are some footie fans out there i do have a bet on the footie rarely but once the 1st month of the season is out the way i'll give you a very simple team selection for perms and you can play with it throughout the season and see how you get on with it, it may be fruitful only time will tell.

Only 1 winner yesterday Down the brick which was 7/2 early and shortened to 9/4 favourite let's hope for a bit better fortune today but with the Ascot Shergar cup at the weekend being a future highlight i think the next couple of weeks may be a little tough to say the least but good luck to everyone today.

Wow today looks tough

Good morning everyone not too good a day yesterday with the bets both favourite and each way although 1 2nd with Shy glance so something back in the pot but if you saw the prices 9/1 shots all over the place 16/1 and 33/1 winners it was anything but straightforward and today looks just as tough.
The 2 meetings Catterick/Chepstow maidens, sellers, claimers wow a tough day there is no lay account bet today which tends to signify a bad day ahead so a wealth warning goes out but we did have success with Northern jem a beaten 7/4 favourite losing/winning for the account so not all bad.

I do wish you luck today but when the racing has been so good recently the quality eventually just drops and with around 20k in prize money available for each meeting respectively the average purse for each race is only about £3k a race the better horses won't be contesting these races and the quality just isn't there and the bigger prices will pop in as yesterday and lets hope for a bit of luck today.

Back from holiday and raring to go

Well a week away and raring to go with a few bets today only 1 lay bet but some interesting favourites chances and each way bets.
I hope everybody is well and you had a Glorious Goodwood i don't do very well over Goodwood but i do hope you fared well and if you haven't been on holiday yet are near to getting away yourselves for a well deserved break or you are just enjoying the sunshine and lack of rain watch out no doubt for a hosepipe ban coming to your area soon ,now there's a bet if ever i saw one.
