Well yesterday although tough following a poor Saturady with very trappy racing gave us a little bit back in the pot with Xila fontenailles placing 3rd at 40/1 sp and early on betfair was 11.5 for the place only so have a look at the betfair place odds as that's where i made a better profit yesterday.There were 2 other placers but no winners .
Today looks just as poor and i can only see one bet so down to business.

Another wet weekend

Well i haven't had a chance to check out yesterday as we speak this is a very rushed blog today got to get back home after a flying visit to the relatives and a 5 hour journey home so down to business.

A good day yesterday

Well it was a good day yesterday 2 winners Young smokey 4/1 sp and Basic fact at 12/1 sp early bookies prices as stated would have got you another 8 points profit as the horse was available at 20/1 so did you have a go and make some money.?
Today looks very poor and with that in mind we'll stick to what's working and back as we have done for the last couple of days.

Well yesterday although giving blanket coverage in only two races there was a small profit with 2 x 9/2 winners Yardbird and Nadover that one was available at 6/1 early so have a look at the early prices today because that's where we are heading again.

Let's hope for more of the same today as we head towards the weekend and New year celebrations and hope that a little stability starts to come into the racing with the ground being more consistent and fields running to some sort of level of form. the one thing to remember is the dreaded Bank holiday syndrome it happens summertime as well as now it makes it very hard work and an extra bit of luck needs to go your way remember the trainers know the time of day and we are but mere pawns in this game plots are rife at this time of year so let's hope we fall on the right side of one or two.
Also although i have put up a JJ o'neill horse he has been very poor through December and i only just noticed before christmas a tiny article in the mirror about his stable having a virus so have a think on what he is sending out and keep an eye on the LITTLE stories that can make a big difference to your own betting activities away for the new year celebrations will try to blag a laptop of my daughter it will be bloody hard but we'll give it a go speak soon.

Well yesterday was not good only one placed horse and the lay bet won/lost it was put as per the in running comment and any of you lucky enough not to be working for a living may have had the luxury to take advantage of the 5 length win but i presume that most as myself wouldn't have.

A miserable wet monday to look forward too!

Well the weekend was busy and slightly dissapointing saturday saw the gambled on Canada street return at an 11/4 sp while the early prices were 9/1 at Corals which i took i hope you took an early price on that one and the lay bet lost/won but sunday saw the lay bet Benetwood win/lose by a neck and the bets no good so not really that good but it looked mighty hard through the weekend and today is certainly no better if anything it's worse my opinion only.
Down to business with a tentative lay bet and some hopeful selections to beat the favourites on the all weather we live in hope!

Well yesterday was poor only one placed horse at 12/1 the rest some didn't evn manage to finish the small fields and non runners and ground do seem to be having a major influence and today is no different.

Well yesterday a bad day my computer crashed lost the wifes photo collection and this is not a happy house but when i last blogged i left you with a winning lay bet the winner of that race a 7/2 winner a 6/4 winner and a handful of placed horses so not so bad there.

Well yesterday saw the lay bet win by a neck from a 25/1 shot the place only bets no good the biggies no good and only 2 short priced placed horses and Double magnum a winner at 11/10 so all in all not a good day and today another very poor day again with only a tentative lay bet by default and i'll put up some just for interest to see how they go but all in all i can only see one horse in with a reasonable chance of winning and as said by default a lay bet so be a bit careful to say the least and choose" heads or tails" to have a bet or not it's that bad in my opinion only.Down to business.

Well yesterday was pretty good even allowing for the wether conditions 4 selections 2 winners at 11/4 each with Herecomestanley and Officier de reserve and although the place only bets showed a minor loss with the betfair odds extremely tight for the winners if you had backed them each way with the bookies you would obviously have made a profit so these bets will be down to personal choice and odds being sufficient in whatever choice you make betfair or the bookies.
Today does look poor even for a monday which is usually very poor anyway but after a big meeting things do tend to come crashing back down to earth in a big way so let's not be to despondent and get down to the bets.
The lay bet is tentative today with the majority of races looking poor so it will be a suggestion rather than a definitive lay bet so it's up to you but it's the best chance i can see so here we go.
